I wanted my heart to secrete honey
I wanted the veins in my body to fill with its sweetness
I wanted Patience’s reigns to break with my weakness
and with the speed of the bow’s release to be depleted by cupid’s arrow
You see, I wanted love at the marrow
but...it didn’t...it didn’t happen that way
The earth continuously spins on its axes

So who am I to will it to be a sunny day?
The trees still need the rain and the leaves still need to blow and the earth still needs to replenish
so I cannot ask for a cloudless sky and get mad when I don’t get MY sunshine
and I cant expect the earth to rotate to the pace of my heart
I should’ve know that from the start...especially with my indecision
But I stood for myself instead of God’s Vision
and I continued to speak
when it was my turn
