::: As we run through the Pain :::
As I hide in your shade, from a heartbroken sun,
I feel we are the same our hearts beat as one.
As I begin to run away tears fill your eyes,
You call out to me but I’ve gone too far to hear your cries
Never felt alive, I felt majestic with you,
We move in one rhythm, one dream not two.
Wouldn’t sit unless you sat, only stood by your side,
If you ever ventured far from home my heart you’d still reside
Even when at birth your existence wasn’t known,
Sings of life invite our potential essence blown and overgrown
Look up at the stars as they compliment your face,
You let me in your world, and I let you in my place.
No longer was it just me, fighting through life on my own,
Thought never really together, we were always never alone.
Everyday, hour minute and second would presents the thought of your name,
Opening a gate way to a new way to an open world of change.
My eyes never really opened, rather stayed wide shut,
But the darkness dissipated once you showed up.
Then reality bears its grim fangs deep into my life,
I see it’s not me running, rather tis you taking this hike.
I try and fight with I feel isn’t right, only to feel it is right,
To let go of the past by day and hold on to it through sleepless nights.
Such a forbidden love up close; yet far away it bestows the most pain,
For even my years of tears lightly compare to the weight my tears give this rain.
Your returns a lesson learned, I know you never will come,
Though it burns it’s my painful turn to run from this reunion.
