Here
battle cries
like hailstones
shower upon the wake
of the steel train dins
searing red sunclouds
full of blood
spill from tomahawks slashing
white wagons
sated with guns
plundering dirt
as black crows’ poisonous shrieks
slit the foul air
and tongues drip from crushed skulls...
Meanwhile tumbleweeds
lift up to candy clouds
pausing restlessly
at sunrise
on the broken plain
