What a horrible fish I made
Never keeping up with the school
I swam hard to avoid the shame
Ending up in muddy pools
When the trolling nets came
They missed me, capturing my school
What I’ve been, what I am, what I will be
Crammed my aching heart until it was full
My fate set long ago unbeknownst to me
I swam out alone into the deep blue sea.
