My name is P.kry. I feel in love with words ten years ago and I have not stopped writing since. One of my all time favorite writers is James Baldwin and my favorite poem is "sympathy" by Dunbar. I’m currently writing a memoir and go to school in NYC full-time. I love spoken word venues and a nice glass of vino. My poetry is usually very fluid and derives from many personal experiences that I never got the chance to fully get off my chest. I hope to become a creative writing teacher in the future so that I can help cultivate young minds on how important freedom of expression is.

::: Dry tour eyes child :::

Dry your eyes child
They know not what they do
False prophets
Pretentious judges
Looking down on you

Reminding you of the reality
That is the technicality
Of the truth
You are different
Rejected
Not quite accepted

Forgive them child
They don’t know what’s hurting you
Or the pain that you go through
And they still look down pon’ you

Forgive them child
They know not what they do
Sitting on a pedestal
It’s hard not to be cruel

Don’ cried these rivers many times
Up stream
Then fought the tide

Couldn’t wait for it to subside
Prayed to the lord
I tried

Reverted to sin
F*cked up again
Cried
Cried
And cried

On the corner today
When I heard she passed away

Dam I never got a chance to say
Goodbye.
Now I’m trying to dry my eyes.
