::: Heavenly Sword :::

What can I say Heavenly Sword has been one the PS3's anticipated games and it was worth the wait! Heavenly Sword is about a powerful sword that grants power to its wielder only one catch the sword was never meant to be wielded by mortals. Those who do wield the sword find themselves slowly drained of there life by the sword and die. With such a powerful weapon floating around of course conflict is bound to arise a clan of people decide to protect the sword from those who would use it for evil. The clan that protect the sword believe in a prophecy that the heavenly warrior who originally brought the sword down from the heavens would be reborn and he would reclaim the weapon and lead the people but only one problem the heavenly warrior was born a girl. This child will grow up to be the story's main character and our heroine Nariko. The game picks up with a King known as Bohan who is played by Andy Serkis (aka Golum from the lord of the rings movies) who wants the power of the sword for himself and hunts down Nariko's clan who protects the sword. This game is an action game that is good and has a story that draws you in and makes you really care about what happens to the characters. The game has very life like facial features do to the motion capturing techniques used for the game that brings a movie experience to the game. The game also features some different game play modes that help switch the game up from the usual button smasher action game you run into these days. One of the features is the after touch effect. When you throw a object or shoot a projectile you can guide it and choose where it will land kind of like having full control over a flying bullet. You also play as Narikos adopted sister Kai who is handy with a bow weapon. Heavenly swords controls scheme differs from most games by giving you different fighting stances, which allow you to deliver numerous attacks and techniques. The games final battle brings an epic level of battle that is rarely seen in video games and makes heavenly sword standout amongst its peers. Heavenly sword is a good game that when it ends you want to play more to see where else the story can lead and if you own a PS3 go ahead and add this game to your entertainment library.
