::: I Would Prefer Not to :::

We took up residencies
On cushions in the corner,
As the time circled in our cups
And was swallowed,
I noticed the fan talking in a murmur,
The ground becoming firmer,
The moon getting brighter,
The walls feeling lighter,
The moon making its debut,
The eyes darting through,
The table stretching out,
The cushions slipping about,
The two friends near me leaning
The two friends near me intervening,
The lonely boy made a foreigner,
The lonely boy stuck in the corner.
