::: Anti-Matter :::

Don’t say you don’t see what is there
hidden in the alleyways with shining eyes.
Don’t tell me it doesn’t crawl after you
to your very doorway.
Don’t tell me at all. I can smell the fear.
It isn’t what makes you.
It’s what unmakes you.
It takes you over
until you are gone in the mouth that swallows us all.

Cry if you must,
but don’t speak.
Words are food for its hunger in the night.
