blue skies
their will be more tears to cry
she spoke of dry wells
those age eyes spoke with the sound of hell

its a irrational circle she will go on to say
your child will glare back at you the same way

and my new aged eyes open wide as I repeat what she had say
does this mean I lose
sporting mummy’s shoes

young daughter
go on your merry way
your time will come to say what I say

so smile
their will be more tears to cry but for now
hold on to those blue skies.
