::: Meddling in New York :::

I was the meddlesome guy
strolling on the rung side of the road
walking right at everyone
while aping the dead on time buses.
Buzzing through the streets, no-where is home
but home is near.
I have been here before
this forked pathway of hope,
its a threshold of faith,
we have been there before; we, you and them!
we the people of hope,
we have come before the transit rail
the fabled path to redemption
New York the pathway to redemption?
I need to keep hope alive and faith breathing still
Is he awake yet? More intravenous please!
He needs to travel this path often
so more cleansing can come his meddlesome path.
How old is he? What is his name?
What’s your address in New York city?
Perhaps you are not one of us?
Love in bits? Love by the green backs?
Brother, my love is real,
but the bills pile high,
my faith is true,
but the bills stack to heavens,
higher than what the heavens grant me as faith!
Like me you will become real soon.
Full of zest and low on love
my path is crowded, but my heart if full
I have meddled long enough
soon will be back home
familiar tuff,
embracing truth,
mothers home-made truth
but naked is the truth I see in your eyes
as I meddle my way clumsily down the streets of New York city.

Op... an architect and a poet
