Joyful and Painful tears
Over years and years
Of raising your own
Not alone
But with the help of the Lord
And you couldn’t afford
Bread or fish
But somehow you could multiply every dish
And make a full course meal
I know how you feel Momma
I know how you feel
Miracles God Brought through you
And brought you to
Who can do what you do
My heart goes out to you
From labor pains
To candy canes
You gave it all
With God’s sweetest call
A mother
But you’re Momma to me
With a Spirit filled personality
Giving birth to creation
A new generation
Without imitation
Or false sense of pride
God’s word says nothing shall be denied
If you abide in Him and His word abide in you
The children you led
The children you fed
The things that you said
To direct the future or heal the past
You taught God was the first and the last
As you look at your production
You played center stage
Though sometimes
You felt like a bird in a cage
Wanting to get away from it all
And be free
But never leaving your position as mommy
You see
You’re Momma to me!!!!
