::: Doin Dirty Dishes :::

Hot water defying gravity to fall upon warm hands
while dirty dishes become cleansed of scum
which is the manifestation of food particles, undigested.
I wonder in all this concatenation of silverware, dirty dishes and soap suds
about the many different kinds of people who all have to engage
in the same conversation after every forgotten meal.
No matter the color or ethnicity of flesh, the class or profession of mind,
we all are linked by the musical monotony inherent in doin dirty dishes.
The clinkin and clankin of smudged glasses and egg stained pans bridges together borders and causes time past to become a time future
in which together we all silently unite in our shared process of speciation
while doin dirty dishes.
Warm hands, calm mind and a setting sun of tranquility that we all understand because of the stillness of doin dirty dishes.
Wars and famine could be avoided, shootings and beatings evaded,
greed and injustice educated if only for a moment in time we understood the common human experience of warm hands, dirty dishes, cleansed of scum, clinkin and clankin- which only the manifestation of food particles, undigested.
