What does it take the fix all the world’s problems?
What does it take to end slavery and I mean really end slavery
What does it take to end segregation and discrimination?
What does it take for women to earn the same as men for the same work?
What does it take to end the violence and live in harmony?
What does it take to end the wars of the world?
What does it take to end poverty?
What does it take to end all our suffering?
What does it take for the hand of God to intervene?
When will God say its over and when will it be time to be happy
Is there to be no collective joy on earth and is there to be no peace.
Are we just meant to suffer here as God watches down with his arms folded?
If that’s the case why do I clasp my hands and pray every night
Because when I wake up things just seem to be worse the next day
Another body found in a dumpster
Another child in Africa lost his parents to AIDS
And more funerals to be held,
Yes they suffered all through life but the reward it greater after life
Everything is better after life so I will stop shedding tears
Because in the end I have something to look forward to,
eternal life with no suffering. The world will be perfect.
