I'm driving home today...and notice there was an old man, trying to get out of a ditch along with the bike. He was riding when someone ran him off the road, according to what he told me, after I took the time to pull over and help him. The messed up part about is not only did someone not pay attention to what they were doing while driving, but it killed me to watch as many cars go by that did ...and did not stop to help him. My guess is that those people passing were probably thinking "Oh someone else will stop for him...I don't really have time". I don't know about you, but I know I would want someone to help me. I didn't witness him fall into the ditch. He was trying to come out when I was driving up the street. It didn't make any sense. Maybe if it had been a child, or an attractive younger person, someone would have maybe acted a little quicker. I have to say that really hurt my heart to see that...my point is that we as a human race HAVE to help each other out more, and not worry about what other people might think, or not act on something because you think somebody else will do it. I'm not tooting my own horn here my no means, and looking for a pat on the back...I just thought I would share that moment with everyone in hopes to open some eyes.
