I hope to get lost in an art gallery some day
So I can freely run my fingers over paintings once presented
by half deranged artisans
Tip toe past statues sculpted from the lonely jars of clay
often neglected by the old man who blasted jazz tunes
through his ear drums
and only lived life vicariously through his craft.

Beyond window panes where sun rays found their solace
was foreign territory.

I'd feast my eyes upon gourmet entrees
cooked by the heat of light bulbs from underground exhibits
and tango with black and white photographs
of the brilliant women
who inspire me

And I'll write poems for them
Even though only silence signed up
to hear me speak.
spot light. stage right.
just me.
lost in a maze of art galleries.

I hope to get carried away someday
And fly on the tips of paint brushes
like infamous celebrity witches and their precious brooms
high. over. life.
