So this is what lonely feels like
When joy I derived from myself
When only I make me smile
When to be with others does not satisfy
When pain comes from knowing me
When the lives of others bring no joy
When to look upon another brings reproach from I
When all is hate and hate is mine
When any emotion is an improvement
When my brow is never relaxed
When thought consumes every neuron
When tears bring pain with no satisfaction
When who you held close shatter every hope
When the amount of love felt cannot be found
When the tears refuse to fall from their chambers
When darkness is as bright and haunting as the moon
When all you feel is nothing
When you're so hardened all emotions are equal
When care is no longer in your vocabulary
When what you despise becomes your only love
When being lonely doesn't seem so bad
