It’s In The Eyes

It’s in the eyes…
that gaze that takes me in
like invisible hands…
fingers
that pick up my chin
and make me look back…
that first moment of
contact…
shock…
breath quickly inhaled…
eyes widened
then
slowly dawns comprehension.
Yes… I see you…
Yes… draw closer…
come into my space
enter my world…
stay a while…
I have been waiting for you.

I Want

I want you in my bed…
your body my blanket
covering all parts of me
keeping me warm…

I want you in my body
filling me up
claiming me
leaving your mark

I want your hands
touching
exploring every part
searching out my body’s secrets

I want you to take
revel
enjoy
what is here for you
for the taking

Let me pleasure you
fill YOU up
satisfy your every need
your every desire

You will never crave
again.

I Stand

I stand here feeling a bit wild
looking to be tamed
wanting your hands in my hair
to pull it back
so I look up at you
and see
the fire in your eyes
and I want to dance
with that fire
feel your fire
in me
lick me all over
oh yes
consume me

For I Love

Lessons taught.
Learning right from wrong
to walk a straight narrow path.
Never to divert…
Never to look at the other side
or else I will fall,
God forbid,
in their eyes.

Yet,
my soul craved to see,
to feel,
what was there.
The possibilities…

I started to look…
They beat me
They scared me
They tried to
shut
my voice…

For years I lived
below the surface
buried under layers.
Thinking I am living
Believing I am living
Living the way
they
wanted me to live…

One day
I started cracking…
I began to peel…
I asked “Who am I”
I had no answer
and I shook…
I wanted answers…

Now I am finding
answers
and I am still peeling
away…
I am finding out who
I am
not who THEY
wanted ME to be…

For I love as I KNOW how to love
and be who I WANT to be.

Another Question

When I touch you
will you feel the same…
Will your cheek have
the same texture
and your kiss
will it have that
familiar spark
that
never failed to
capture me
hold me?

Will we be different?
Better?
Who knows?
I’m a little frightened
but yet not enough
to not see you
again

I hope you meant it

A Question

A Question

Are you back for real
or
just for the moment?
Do I trust
that?
The sound of your voice rings
so true
It is like your caress on my cheek
your kiss on my lips
that made me
surrender
so easily
Yet
it has been a while
I have changed
but my heart still
beats
for you
still loves
for you
Let this be true
and not
just
a moments thought
but
if it is
I will go on…
I have to go on…
I choose to go on…

Firelight

I would dance in the firelight for
you……….twirling around………hips swaying in
time with the drums…….mimicking the ancient
rhythm………
My eyes shoot off sparks created by the flames that
seem to dance with me………my arms lift……..my
hands reach out……..my fingers beckon you to join
me in my dance…………..touch my
fingers……..take my hands
……….mmmm………yes………let me lead you in
my dance…….step into my shadows and let their
velvet warmth surround you………….yes…….come
into my arms………….pull the length of my body
against yours………..yes……….suckle from my
mouth and taken my essence
in……….yes……….make me your life
force………fuse your force with
mine…………..yes
……….yes…………yes…………..

MMMM…………………….I want to be in
your bed………………put me there. Use me
anyway you want…………..I ache………I am
hollow…….ease me………fill me up with
you…….come and take my pearl in your mouth and roll it around
your tongue. Quench your thirst with my
nectar…….Satisfy your hunger with my
flesh………..

Residual menthol

Residual menthol.
Tastes like you
When I sip your drink.
So sensual.
How is it that the rum in this Bloody Mary
Tastes like you?
As he bangs his strings
And he fondles his keys.
She slaps her thigh
As she teases her mike.
Like your cocaine
I am ready to explode.
As these forces collide.
This satin against my skin.
Satin like your skin.
I am in another realm.
Her voice smooth like velvet.
She sings “I’m saving my love for you.”
This music begs for romance.

The Show

We were so good tonight.
We had to prove it.
Prove that we could keep it in check.
And we did.
We put on a good show.
Each of us knowing…
What the other was thinking.
Begging each other not to go there.
Begging each other to take it there.
Begging each other to feel the love.
But hold it back.
Feel it but hold it back.
Please be strong for me.
Please draw the line in the sand.
You know tomorrow night it will be the same.
I will beg you to drink some more.
You will beg me to keep that look to myself.
But there is nothing more to prove.
I asked you why it’s not enough.
You said “It’s more than enough.”
And I believe you, so there’s nothing more to prove.
This is more than enough, I know that.
There is no need to dance this dance.
But we love the lie.
We love the costume and the makeup, the lighting, the music.
We love the control.
It feels that much better when the lights go down.
And control is lost.
Strip me down.
Take me My Love.
Fight to f*ck me.
Fight not to f*ck me.
Fight to feel it.
But hold it back.
The show goes on.

Sometimes

Sometimes I wind up alone
Even though all I want is to keep talking to you.
Sometimes I all I want is to just sleep on your couch.
I know what that means.
And then you say, “no honey, not tonight”
“catch me on a Saturday.”
But I just don’t want to cut this off,
Just because it’s 3, and you’re done.
Can I just sleep, and then get an omelet with you,
When we are both more sane?
But you are gone all of a sudden and all I have to do is drive home.
And eat pre-sliced pepper jack.
And listen to these sounds we could have listened to together.
But you are beyond that
Been there.
Done that.
Just want to sleep.
Gone.
And here I am
Alone again.
One of them is fishing.
One of them is taking pictures.
Many of us are sleeping with the one they know is wrong.
Many of us afraid of the truth.
We all go home at closing time.
Home to nothing.
Home to loneliness.
Home to emptiness.
Cuz we don’t know how to say ‘I love you.’
We can’t just say ‘I love you”
We know it’s impossible.
We know if we were to believe,
We would be let down.
We would form alliances.
There would be the one that doesn’t understand.
The one that says “hey, what’s going on here?”
‘That person is mine.
This person is yours.
I belong to you.
And you belong to me.’
Sometimes I wind up alone.
Even though all I want is to keep talking to you.
Sometimes we can’t have it all, all the time.
When “I love you” becomes a smoking gun.
You lie there bleeding.
And all I have to do is drive home…
Home to nothing.
Home to emptiness.
Home to loneliness.
Sleep my dear.
I will see you tomorrow with one more scar.
