You are my light when the world is dark.
You are my dewdrop in the morning after a night of drought.
You give me inspiration to fly when others filled my head with doubt.

You have seen me naked.
You have witnessed my bad judgment even my mental breakdowns.

Each time the world dethrones me; on my head you placed a crown.
You are my comfort against the harsh tones, back bitters and pain of my past.
The world is full of war, hate and constant turmoil but you smile is the contrast.

Thorns, illness and soul diseases me; they torture and threaten to kill.
You are my rose, my flower;
your herbs were your words you used to heal.

My friend, my earthbound angle, you encouraged my gifts,
my light and the path that I must follow.

You motivated my spiritual walk, though many times I wanted to flee and feel hollow.
You listened to me, you listened to me, and you heard the words of pain I spoke.
You comforted me during my nightmares of terror each time I woke.
You never judged me, never harshly rebuke me nor question the why’s of my actions.
You just continued to encouraged me and remind of God’s divine attraction.
You taught me to taste my words before I say them.
You say with words I can hurt other’s pride.

I have learned to hold my tongue and on God’s word I have relied.
It would have been so easy to go out and buy an insignificant gift and gave it to you without emotion, without compassion, and no meaning but I decided to give you something that has a heartfelt value. It’s not a traditional present or a gift empty of heart. I wanted to give you something that will express to you my gratitude, my appreciation and most of all my Love. You don’t have to wear it because it’s not bling or shiny but it’s from my heart.
