CA-2007- Author and Poet Violet Monday's new book, Blood Splattered on the Paper, offers a truly unique approach to poetry reflecting on life's difficulties, pleasures, and pains. Many different kinds of narratives, insights, and short stories about life experiences, laughter, drama, murder, humor, love, inspirational, and some urban styles of poetry. Some of the poems might make you laugh or make you stop and think, saying (that has happened to me or I been there).

This is Violet Monday's first Poetry book, and she has been writing all of her life, so it is only natural that she would create a documented account on her observation on life.

::: 8th Week :::

In the 8th week, he fished in his pant pocket for a pack of cigs
He then whispers the truth with his deep baritone trumpet sound
to help guide you to the way
mysteriously
staring at you with his eyelids hung low
like a black cloak and two dark coals
heating towards you
with a smirk and a suck, inhale, and blow of a thin haze of
smoke
in your face
As she hugged his ruff and rugged body, he slowly and languidly soften up
like hot melted butter
dripping to the floor
through her fingers

but he left her grabbing empty air

only remnants of his soul floating upwards

as she looked up at the sky
