Jason Sims
Born February. 6, 1980
I began writing at the age of 10, it became my therapy to escape or just express myself.
I lived a harsh child hood, I kept many things to myself, maybe because I just didn't how to talk about it so I put everything in writing.
I was heavily influenced by music and the stories I heard thru music.
Just like many songwriters and even rappers, writing poetry became my way to talk to the world, sometimes just for me.
My style of writing has a rhythm to it seeing that I was influenced by different types of music including hip-hop.
Today I’m 28 years old and still have a lot to say, every day that goes by is a new experience.

::: How Does it Feel :::

When she tells you she fell in love with someone else, don't act surprised
She used to look at you as her hero, but you made her fantasy die.
She lost her innocence in your arms, a woman she became
It turns out you were all talk, it was just part of your game.
Without paying attention she found comfort in another…
A shoulder to cry on, a true friend, more than a lover.

How does it feel to see her floating away?
If you react now, you might have a chance to make her stay.
How does it feel to know soon she'll be leaving?
Do you have the courage to fight or did you stop believing.

Why can't you pay attention on the time your investing on stuff that’s a waste of time?
With her you could glow...why do you only want to shine.
When you look in her eyes/ you can notice the pain she holds inside
When you kiss her cheek, you can taste the tears that she cries.

And as I look in the mirror and speak to my reflection
I feel as though I just lost a piece of heaven.
