Jason Sims
Born February. 6, 1980
I began writing at the age of 10, it became my therapy to escape or just express myself.
I lived a harsh child hood, I kept many things to myself, maybe because I just didn't how to talk about it so I put everything in writing.
I was heavily influenced by music and the stories I heard thru music.
Just like many songwriters and even rappers, writing poetry became my way to talk to the world, sometimes just for me.
My style of writing has a rhythm to it seeing that I was influenced by different types of music including hip-hop.
Today I’m 28 years old and still have a lot to say, every day that goes by is a new experience.

::: State of Mind :::

Don’t take any offense when I speak the truth/ its what a lot of you is lacking though, proof is proof. I take a look at these cats and see to many actors / you have a lot talent but you need more practice. There is nothing you can say that will take me by surprise/ I’ve seen people so close to death you can see the white’s in there eyes/ I’m only here to criticize. I’m just saying, there’s options/ you could choose the right path or end up in a coffin.
I’ve experienced the feeling of letting my guard’s down/ shameful deeds that’s hard to get back around. Only with the spirit I’m able to bounce back/ in fact, by my own strength I’ll never stay on track.
They say that I’m too deep for rap/ they rather me talk about slugz and gat’s. What kind of example I’ll showing my son/ if I only spoke about drugs and shooting my gun’s. He might grow up to be what I’m starting to hate/ a man with no morality and no restraint. We see the fruitage of our sins and still we don’t change/how we prosper if we don’t switch lanes.
